Delhi Schools Evacuated After Bomb Threat Emails; Mid-Term Exams

Several schools in Delhi, including DPS Dwarka, received bomb threat emails, prompting evacuation of students and staff. As a result, mid-term exams scheduled in these schools have been postponed.

Details of Bomb Threat Emails at Delhi Schools

Early in the morning, threat emails were sent to Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School, all located in Dwarka Sector 10. Once the emails were received, authorities, including the Delhi Police and Bomb Disposal Squad, initiated immediate evacuation and security checks. All premises were searched thoroughly, and no explosive device has been confirmed so far.

Impact on Mid-Term Exams and School Operations

Because of the threat, affected schools have postponed their mid-term exams. All school activities, tests, and events for the day have been suspended. Administrations have directed that students and staff stay safe, and parents have been notified about pickup protocols.

Authorities’ Response and What Is Known

  • The Fire Department, Bomb Disposal Team, Dog Squad, and local police responded promptly. Searches were completed without finding anything suspicious.
  • Despite many such threats having turned out to be hoaxes, authorities are treating this instance with full seriousness. Full investigations, including tracing the origin of the emails, are underway.
