The Computer Based Test (CBT) is expected to be conducted between December 2025 and January 2026. DDA Section Officer Horticulture Exam Schedule and Details
DDA will hold the online CBT exam to recruit Group B officers for its Horticulture department. The exam will include questions on agriculture, forestry, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English, and general awareness. Candidates who applied between October 6 and November 5, 2025, can expect their admit cards soon on the official website.

A total of 75 vacancies have been announced for the Section Officer (Horticulture) post. The majority of the seats fall under the Unreserved (UR) category, with reserved positions allotted to other categories as per government norms.
Eligibility Criteria and Age Relaxation
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Forestry from a recognized university. The maximum age limit is 30 years, with category-wise relaxations five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC, and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates.
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The selection process comprises a single-stage CBT followed by document verification. The CBT will be conducted for 150 marks over a 2-hour duration.
- Part I (100 Questions): Subject knowledge, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Current Affairs
- Part II (50 Questions): Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Knowledge
The merit list will be based entirely on CBT performance.
Salary and Probation
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Matrix Level 6, with a starting basic pay of INR 35,400 per month, plus allowances such as DA and HRA. The probation period is 2 years, after which permanent appointment will be confirmed based on performance and departmental assessments.
