CUET UG Merit List 2026

Unlike several national-level entrance examinations, NTA generally releases examination scores rather than a centralised merit list. The CUET UG merit list 2026 will be prepared separately by participating universities according to their admission policies and course requirements. Universities will use CUET scores along with eligibility criteria, reservation guidelines, subject combinations, and seat availability to prepare their respective admission lists. Candidates seeking admission to competitive programs should monitor the official websites of their preferred institutions regularly after the declaration of results.

CUET UG 2026 Cut-Off Marks

The CUET Cutoff 2026 is expected to vary significantly across institutions and academic programs. Factors such as the number of applicants, examination difficulty level, availability of seats, category-wise reservations, and course popularity will influence the final cut-off marks. Highly competitive courses offered by leading universities generally witness higher cut-off percentiles due to strong demand among applicants. Since every institution determines its own admission criteria, candidates should refer to university-specific notifications for accurate cut-off information. CUET UG 2026 Counselling Registration

After the declaration of the result, participating universities will begin the CUET CSAS Counselling 2026 registration process for undergraduate admissions. Unlike centralised counselling systems used in some examinations, most universities accepting CUET scores conduct admissions independently through their own portals. Candidates will be required to register on the admission website of the respective university, submit academic and personal information, upload relevant documents, choose preferred courses, and complete the application fee payment process. Following registration, institutions will release seat allotment lists based on merit and eligibility criteria. Selected candidates must complete document verification and admission formalities within the prescribed timeline to secure their seats.

Top Universities Accepting CUET UG 2026 Scores

A large number of higher education institutions across India utilise CUET scores for undergraduate admissions. The following categories of universities participate in the admission process.

CUET UG 2026 Normalisation Process Explained

The CUET UG 2026 normalisation process plays a crucial role in ensuring fairness for candidates appearing in different examination shifts. Since question paper difficulty levels may vary across sessions, NTA uses a standardised normalisation methodology to convert raw marks into percentile scores. Under this process, a candidate's performance is evaluated relative to other candidates who appeared in the same session. The percentile score reflects the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or less than a particular candidate. This approach helps maintain fairness and consistency across multiple examination sessions and ensures that no candidate is disadvantaged due to variations in question paper difficulty. The normalised score ultimately becomes the primary metric used by participating institutions during the preparation of admission merit lists and seat allocation rounds.

Documents Required for CUET UG Admission 2026

Candidates planning to participate in the CUET UG admission 2026 process should keep all required documents ready in advance. These generally include the CUET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, category certificate for reserved category candidates, EWS certificate where applicable, PwBD certificate for eligible candidates, recent passport-size photographs, and a valid government-issued identity proof. Having these documents readily available can help candidates complete registration, document verification, and admission procedures smoothly without unnecessary delays.
