Registration for the CUET UG 2026 entrance test concludes today, 4 February 2026, at 11:50 PM, while the application fee payment deadline is extended to 7 February 2026. The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 registration window will close today, 4 February 2026, at 11:50 PM, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA). Applicants who have not yet completed their forms are urged to register and submit before the deadline on the official portal cuet.nta.nic.in.
Registration for CUET UG 2026 began on 3 January 2026, and the process has been extended in response to candidate demand, allowing extra time to complete applications. Students planning to pursue undergraduate programmes at central and other participating universities must ensure all details are submitted correctly for eligibility.
CUET UG 2026 Registration Deadline and Fee Details
Candidates can complete the online application process on the official CUET UG portal, cuet.nta.nic.in, until 11:50 PM on 4 February 2026. The NTA has also specified that the application fee can be paid up to 7 February 2026, beyond which applications will not be accepted. Completing the registration involves:
- Filling out all personal and academic information accurately,
- Uploading required documents such as photographs and signature,
- Paying the application fee before the extended deadline.
Students are advised to download and keep the confirmation page and fee payment receipt after successful submission. Without the payment, the application will not be considered complete.
What Happens Next After Registration?
Once the registration process ends, the NTA will open a correction window from 9 to 11 February 2026. During this period, applicants who have submitted their forms can make permitted edits or corrections to certain fields Following the correction phase, the NTA is expected to release admit cards ahead of the CUET UG 2026 exam, which is slated to be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode between 11 May and 31 May 2026. The entrance test is essential for undergraduate admissions in central universities including Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and many others.
