CUET UG 2026 new exam dates have been announced by NTA for postponed and affected shifts, including May 28 and May 30 examinations. The revised schedule has been issued after festival-related delays and technical disruptions at multiple centres.

CUET UG 2026 New Exam Date Announced , Admit Card Soon

CUET UG 2026 New Exam Date Announced for Postponed Shifts at cuet.nta.nic.in marks a major update for lakhs of candidates appearing in the Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate). The CUET UG 2026 new exam date has been officially announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after multiple shifts were postponed due to festival schedules and technical disruptions at examination centres. The revised timetable impacts candidates who were scheduled for the May 28 exam as well as the May 30 shift 1 examination, ensuring that all affected students are given a fair opportunity to appear for the test under improved conditions.

CUET UG 2026 New Exam Date for May 28 and May 30 Postponed Shifts

The CUET UG 2026 exam schedule revision primarily affects two major groups of candidates. The first group includes students whose examination was scheduled on May 28, 2026, which was postponed due to the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) festival. To accommodate this, the National Testing Agency rescheduled the exam to be conducted on May 31, 2026 and June 06–07, 2026, depending on the subject and shift allocation.

The second group includes candidates affected by the May 30 shift 1 CUET UG 2026 examination, which experienced technical disruptions at multiple centres across the country. Due to system issues, a significant number of candidates were unable to complete their examination despite reaching the centre and completing biometric verification. For these candidates, NTA has confirmed that a fresh CUET UG 2026 new exam date will be announced soon, ensuring that no candidate is left without a fair attempt. This revision highlights NTA’s commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness in a high-stakes national-level entrance examination process.

CUET UG 2026 Admit Card Release and Download Instructions

The CUET UG 2026 admit card process has also been updated following the revised exam schedule. Candidates whose exams were successfully rescheduled to May 31, 2026 have already received their updated hall tickets. Meanwhile, candidates scheduled for the June 06–07, 2026 examination slots will soon be able to download their admit cards from the official website.

The admit card for CUET UG 2026 can be accessed only through the official portal cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates must log in using their application number and password or date of birth. The admit card contains essential details such as examination centre address, reporting time, subject code, and exam day instructions. It is mandatory for candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Without these documents, entry into the exam hall will not be permitted under any circumstances.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Centre Disruptions and Technical Issues

The CUET UG 2026 examination process witnessed operational disruptions at several centres, particularly during the May 30 shift 1 examination. Out of approximately 73,106 candidates, only 69,341 candidates were able to complete their examination successfully. The remaining candidates faced technical issues that prevented them from attempting the test after completing initial verification steps.

These disruptions included system failures, login issues, and server-related delays, which impacted the smooth conduct of the examination. While most centres conducted the exam without interruption, a few locations experienced significant downtime, resulting in incomplete attempts for affected students. To address this, the National Testing Agency has decided to provide a rescheduled CUET UG 2026 exam opportunity for all impacted candidates. This ensures that the evaluation process remains fair and unbiased for all participants.

CUET UG 2026 Rescheduling Process and Official Decision

The CUET UG 2026 rescheduling decision has been taken to ensure equal opportunity for all candidates. The NTA follows strict guidelines when handling large-scale exam disruptions, especially in national-level entrance tests.

The May 28 postponement was already planned due to a national festival, while the May 30 technical issue required immediate corrective action. Following internal review, NTA confirmed that affected candidates will be allotted a fresh exam date without any additional fee or re-registration requirement. This rescheduling process is crucial because CUET UG serves as a gateway for admission into central, state, and participating universities across India. Any disruption in such an examination can directly impact academic progression, making timely correction essential.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Pattern Continuity in Rescheduled Tests

Despite the revised schedule, the CUET UG 2026 exam pattern remains unchanged for all rescheduled candidates. The structure of the test, including subject-wise question format, marking scheme, and duration, will remain consistent with the original examination.

Candidates appearing in the rescheduled exam will face the same difficulty level and syllabus coverage as previously scheduled shifts. This ensures fairness across all sessions and prevents any advantage or disadvantage due to rescheduling. Students are advised to continue their preparation as per the original CUET UG syllabus and focus on subject-wise revision, particularly in domain-specific subjects and language sections.

CUET UG 2026 Admit Card and Exam Day Guidelines

The CUET UG 2026 exam day guidelines are strictly enforced by NTA to maintain discipline and security. Candidates must reach their allotted examination centre at least one hour before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, or any communication equipment are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Candidates must also ensure that their admit card details are clearly printed and match their identity proof. Any discrepancy in personal details must be immediately reported to examination authorities before entering the hall. Failure to comply with instructions may result in disqualification from the examination process.

CUET UG 2026 Impact on Admission Timeline and Universities

The revision in the CUET UG 2026 exam schedule is expected to slightly impact the overall admission timeline for participating universities. Since CUET UG scores are required for undergraduate admissions in central universities and other participating institutions, delays in exam completion may push result declaration and counselling schedules forward.

However, NTA is working to ensure that the delay remains minimal and does not affect the academic session significantly. Universities are expected to adjust their admission timelines accordingly once the final CUET UG 2026 results are announced.

CUET UG 2026 Next Steps for Candidates

After the release of the CUET UG 2026 new exam date and admit cards, candidates must stay updated through the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. The next steps include downloading the revised hall ticket, appearing for the rescheduled exam, and later checking the result announcement schedule.

Candidates are advised to regularly monitor official notifications to avoid missing any important update regarding exam city slips, admit cards, or additional rescheduling notices. The final CUET UG 2026 result will be released only after all pending and rescheduled examinations are completed.
