NTA is conducting the CUET UG 2026 May 18 examination today in CBT mode across multiple centres. Candidates must follow the prescribed exam day guidelines and carry all required documents.
CUET UG 2026 May 18 exam is being conducted today by the National Testing Agency in Computer-Based Test mode across multiple examination centres in India and abroad. Candidates appearing for the entrance examination must carry all mandatory documents and follow the exam day instructions issued by NTA.
The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled between May 11, 2026 and May 31, 2026 for language papers, domain subjects, and general test papers. After each shift, candidates will also be able to check the CUET UG 2026 paper analysis, subject-wise difficulty level, and memory-based questions.
CUET UG 2026 Shift Timings and Gate Closing Schedule
NTA is conducting the examination in two shifts on May 18, 2026. Candidates must report to the examination centre before the gate closing time as late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. The important timings for both shifts are provided below.

The examination is being conducted across 306 examination centres in India and outside India in a total of 35 shifts.
CUET UG 2026 Important Documents Required at Exam Centre
Candidates appearing for the examination must carry all required documents for verification purposes. Entry inside the examination hall may be denied if any mandatory document is missing. The list of required documents is given below.
- CUET UG Admit Card 2026
- Self-declaration form
- Two passport-size photographs
- Original valid photo ID proof
- PwD/PwBD certificate, if applicable
Candidates must carry the same ID proof that was used during the CUET UG 2026 application process.
CUET UG 2026 Dress Code and Permitted Items
NTA has issued specific instructions regarding dress code and items allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates must avoid carrying prohibited electronic devices and unnecessary accessories. The following items are allowed inside the exam centre.
- Transparent water bottle
- Religious threads such as kalava
- Articles of faith after frisking
- Woollen clothes if required
- Normal shoes, slippers, or low heels
Students have been advised not to wear heavy jewellery or carry electronic gadgets to the examination centre.
CUET UG 2026 Exam Analysis and Memory-Based Questions
Candidates will be able to check the CUET UG 2026 May 18 paper analysis after the conclusion of each shift. The analysis will include subject-wise difficulty level, important topics, good attempts, and memory-based questions shared by students.
The analysis is expected to help candidates appearing in upcoming shifts understand the exam pattern and expected difficulty level. Students will also be able to compare expected scores, percentile trends, and projected cut-offs for universities such as DU, BHU, and JNU.

Shift 1 of CUET UG May 18 exam has officially started at 9 AM. The exam will conclude at 12 PM. The paper analysis will be available after the shift concludes within half an hour.
CUET UG 2026 May 18 Shift 1 Gates Closed
CUET UG 2026 Day 6 Exam Reporting has closed at 8:30 AM. The Shift 1 exam will begin at 9 AM and end at 12 PM.
CUET UG 2026 Students Advised to Stay Calm Before Exam
Candidates are advised to remain calm and avoid last-minute stress before appearing for the CUET UG 2026 examination. Students are encouraged to focus on light revision and maintain a positive mindset. Candidates were also advised to reach the examination centre early to avoid unnecessary delays.

Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 today must carry all required documents to the examination centre. NTA has stated that entry may not be allowed without proper verification documents.

CUET UG 2026 Shift 1 Gates Open Today Across Exam Centres
The National Testing Agency opened the examination centre gates from 7 AM for CUET UG 2026 Shift 1 candidates. Students were seen arriving at centres for document verification and security checks before entering the examination hall.
Heavy footfall was reported at several examination centres across India as candidates appeared for the entrance examination.
