National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the registration process for CUET PG 2026 on December 14, 2025. The window for application submission will remain open until January 14, 2026. Over 200 universities, including central, state, deemed, and private institutions, are expected to participate in the admission process. Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has confirmed that all postgraduate admissions for the 2026–27 academic year will be conducted through CUET PG 2026. The university will offer programmes including MA, MSc, MBA, MCA, MTech, and LLM. Vice-Chancellor Professor M. Satyanarayana stated that this centralised system simplifies admissions and reduces duplication of entrance tests for students applying to multiple institutions.
PG Programmes Offered at Central University of Karnataka
CUK provides postgraduate courses across humanities, sciences, management, and professional streams. MA courses are available in subjects such as English, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology. MSc programmes cover Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychology, Geography, and Life Sciences. Management and professional programmes include MBA, MCA, select MTech courses, and LLM for postgraduate law students. Detailed eligibility criteria, programme-specific requirements, and subject combinations will be released in the university’s official admission notification for the 2026–27 session.
Expected Seat Intake
The university has not yet released the official seat matrix for the 2026–27 academic year. Based on previous years, most PG programmes typically have around 30 seats each. Additional seats are reserved under EWS and other categories as per government norms. Overall, several hundred postgraduate seats are expected to be offered through CUET PG 2026 across various departments.
CUET PG 2026 Application Schedule
Registrations for CUET PG 2026 commenced on December 14, 2025, and will close on January 14, 2026. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held in March 2026. Candidates who qualify the exam will be required to register separately on the CUK admission portal once counselling notifications are issued. Seat allotment will be determined based on CUET PG scores, merit ranking, and availability in each programme.
