CUET 2026 FAQs Released: Exam Pattern, Fee, Admit Card Details

The Common University Entrance Test 2026 FAQs have been released by the National Testing Agency, offering clarity on the exam pattern, application process, and key dates. The national-level entrance test will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026. CUET UG remains a single-window entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programmes across more than 250 participating universities in India.

 

CUET 2026 Exam Pattern and Structure

As per the official details, the CUET UG 2026 question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam will be divided into three sections:

  • Section I: Language (13 options)
  • Section II: Domain Subjects (23 subjects)
  • Section III: General Aptitude Test

Each section will include 50 questions with a duration of 60 minutes. Candidates can select up to six subjects across sections based on course requirements.

 

CUET UG 2026 Application Fee and Process

The application fee is expected to follow the previous year’s structure. For the General category, the fee starts at ₹1000 for up to three subjects, with additional charges for extra subjects. Candidates must complete the application process using their own email ID and mobile number. The form requires uploading scanned documents such as:

  • Photograph (10 KB to 200 KB)
  • Signature (10 KB to 50 KB)
  • Category/PwD certificate (if applicable)

 

CUET UG 2026 Admit Card and Intimation Slip

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET city intimation slip around 10 days before the exam, helping candidates know their allotted exam city. The CUET admit card 2026 will be issued 2 to 3 days before the exam date, containing details such as exam centre, shift timing, and subject schedule.
