Starting with CUET UG 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will assign exam centres instead of allowing candidates to select their preferred cities. This decision aligns CUET with other national-level exams like JEE Main and NEET UG, where centre allocation is based on the candidate’s Aadhaar card address.
CUET 2026 Exam City Allocation Based on Aadhaar
Candidates applying for CUET UG 2026 must note that exam centres will be allotted strictly according to the address mentioned on the Aadhaar card. This change is intended to streamline logistics and ensure smooth conduct of examinations across India.
- Exam city allocation will be automatic via Aadhaar
- Candidates will not have the option to choose cities
- Alignment with other national exams ensures uniformity
Candidates are advised to verify that the name, date of birth, and other details on Aadhaar match their Class 10 mark sheet. Even minor discrepancies may result in application rejection. Any mismatches should be corrected at the nearest UIDAI centre well before registration.
Important Document Requirements for CUET UG 2026
To avoid issues during registration and verification, candidates should ensure that the following documents are updated and valid:
- Aadhaar card
- UDID card (for Persons with Disabilities)
- Category certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
It is essential that all documents reflect accurate and consistent personal details before submitting the CUET UG 2026 application.
CUET UG 2026 Preparation and Updates
Along with exam city changes, candidates should stay informed about the CUET 2026 exam pattern, syllabus, and eligibility criteria. Proper preparation and verification of documents will help avoid last-minute issues during registration and admit card generation.
Candidates are encouraged to check official notifications for CUET UG 2026 updates, including application timelines, exam pattern, and syllabus.
