CTET September 2026 Application Reopens, Exam Date Postponed

Why Has CBSE Reopened the CTET Application Window?

CBSE has reopened the application window after receiving requests from eligible candidates who could not complete their applications during the earlier registration period.

The decision also follows the Supreme Court's emphasis on providing eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to fulfil the prescribed TET qualification requirement.

Who Can Apply Again for CTET 2026?

The reopened window is mainly for eligible candidates who missed the earlier application deadline.

Candidates who had already successfully submitted their CTET 2026 applications do not need to register again. Their existing applications will remain valid and they will have to follow the revised examination schedule once announced.

CTET 2026 Exam Date Postponed

The CTET September 2026 examination was earlier scheduled for September 6, 2026. CBSE has now postponed the examination.

The new exam date has not been announced yet. The Board is expected to release the revised schedule after the reopened application window closes on September 1.
