The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CTET February 2026 notification anytime soon. Once announced, the detailed information bulletin and application form will be available on the official website, ctet.nic.in. Candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 8 in government or private schools across India will be required to apply online within the specified registration window. According to official sources, the CTET 2026 exam date has already been confirmed — the test will be conducted on February 8, 2026. The notification will include details such as exam schedule, eligibility criteria, registration process, syllabus, and paper pattern for both Paper 1 (Classes 1–5) and Paper 2 (Classes 6–8).

The application process will be entirely online. Once submitted, no major corrections will be allowed except during the official correction window announced by CBSE.

 

CTET 2026 Eligibility and Exam Details

Candidates applying for CTET must meet the required educational qualifications as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms.

  • Paper 1 (Classes 1–5): Candidates should have completed or be pursuing the final year of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Paper 2 (Classes 6–8): Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with a B.Ed qualification or be in the final year of the B.Ed course.

The CTET exam will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode, featuring multiple-choice questions. Each paper will have 150 questions carrying one mark each, with no negative marking.
