The registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session is expected to begin shortly. CTET February 2026 Exam Schedule and Format

According to CBSE’s examination pattern, the CTET 2026 (February session) will be conducted in offline mode using OMR-based question papers at various test centres across the country. The detailed schedule, including the exam dates, paper timings, and city allotment, will be mentioned in the notification PDF. The test will consist of two papers — Paper I for Classes I–V (Primary Level) and Paper II for Classes VI–VIII (Upper Primary Level). Each paper will include 150 multiple-choice questions, and the total duration will be two and a half hours. Candidates scoring 60% or above will be considered qualified as per CBSE’s eligibility standards.

 

CTET February 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Paper I (Primary Teacher):

  • Must have completed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or B.El.Ed.

For Paper II (Upper Primary Teacher):

  • Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree and have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed., or hold a B.Ed. qualification with minimum marks as specified in the notice.
