CTET 2026 Provisional Answer Key Out Soon, Download OMR Response

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 provisional answer key and scanned OMR response sheets for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are expected to be released soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the official CTET portal ctet.nic.in.

How to Download CTET 2026 Answer Key and OMR Sheets?

Once published, candidates who appeared in the CTET February 2026 session (held on 7 and 8 February) can follow these steps to download their provisional answer key PDFs and OMR response sheets:

  1. Visit the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “CTET 2026 Answer Key / Response Sheet” link.
  3. Enter your application number and date of birth.
  4. Download and save the answer key and OMR response sheet for future reference.

Candidates can cross-check their answers against the answer key to estimate their probable scores. Each correct answer in CTET is awarded one mark, and there is no negative marking.

CTET 2026: Objection Process and Fee

After the provisional answer key is released, CBSE will open a challenge window for candidates to raise objections against specific answers they believe are incorrect. Key points include:

  • The objection fee is Rs 1,000 per question challenged.
  • If a challenge is accepted, the fee will be refunded.
  • Candidates must provide valid justification and supporting documents while submitting objections online.

The objection window usually remains open for a few days after the provisional key publication. Objections help ensure fairness as the board prepares the final answer key and calculates results.

CTET 2026 Qualifying Marks

To qualify in CTET 2026, candidates must achieve the following minimum scores out of 150 marks:

  • General category: 90 marks (60 %)
  • SC, ST, OBC & PwD categories: 82 marks (55 %)

Both Paper 1 (for classes 1 to 5 teaching eligibility) and Paper 2 (for classes 6 to 8) follow the same qualifying criteria.

What’s Next After CTET 2026 Answer Key Release?

Once the provisional answer key and OMR sheets are published, CBSE will:

  • Allow candidates to submit objections within the stipulated period.
  • Review objections and issue the final answer key.
  • Prepare and announce the CTET 2026 result, which will be released on ctet.nic.in after evaluation.

Candidates awaiting the CTET results are advised to keep checking the official CTET website regularly for the latest notifications and direct download links for answer keys, response sheets, and result updates.
