The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the CSIR NET December 2025 exam will be held on 18th December 2025. The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple centers in India, in two shifts:
- Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
- Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The exam duration is three hours and will be conducted in both English and Hindi. Subjects covered include Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

CSIR NET Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for CSIR NET December 2025 must follow these exam day instructions:
- Carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
- Arrive at the exam center at least 90 minutes before reporting time
- Only transparent water bottles, admit card, and ID proof are allowed
- Electronic devices like mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or study material are strictly prohibited
- Follow all COVID-19 or other safety guidelines as instructed by NTA and invigilators
