CSIR NET 2025: Eligibility Criteria 

  • Applicants must possess a Master's degree in one of the following fields: Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or Earth Sciences from a recognized university.
  • Minimum required marks:
  1. General and OBC candidates: 55%
  2. SC, ST, and PwD candidates: 50%
  • Final-year postgraduate students can apply but must complete their degree within 2 years to remain eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
  • Age Limit for JRF:
  1. Maximum: 28 years
  2. Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, and PwD; 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
  • No upper age limit applies for Lectureship or Assistant Professorship roles.

CSIR NET 2025: Exam Pattern 

The CSIR NET 2025 exam is structured into three sections:
