The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts the COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), a national-level exam for aspiring engineering students seeking admission to private colleges primarily in Karnataka for the 2026–27 academic session. The COMEDK UGET 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on May 9, 2026 in computer-based mode at test centres across the country.

Who Is Eligible to Apply For the COMEDK UGET Exam?

To appear in COMEDK UGET 2026, candidates must satisfy minimum eligibility conditions:

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) along with English.
  • General candidates should have at least 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka) and must pass each subject individually.
  • Optional subjects like Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or Electronics are also allowed in place of Chemistry for eligibility.

 

COMEDK UGET Exam 2026: Registration & Application Process

Students planning to appear must register and apply online at comedk.org:

  1. Visit the official COMEDK portal.
  2. Complete the UGET 2026 registration form with personal and academic details.
  3. Upload scanned documents such as a passport-size photo and signature.
  4. Pay the application fee (Rs 1950 for COMEDK UGET alone; Rs 3200 for both COMEDK and UNI-GAUGE).
  5. Submit the form and save the confirmation for future use.

Applicants should ensure correct information in the application as editing will be allowed only during a short correction window (April 10–13, 2026).

 

COMEDK UGET Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The COMEDK UGET 2026 test is a three-hour online exam consisting of 180 questions 60 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is no negative marking, and each correct response carries one mark. The paper is based on the CBSE Class 11 and 12 syllabus (approx. 33% from Class 11 and 67% from Class 12 topics).

COMEDK UGET Exam 2026: Admit Card, Answer Key & Result

Admit cards will be released on the portal ahead of the exam, containing exam centre, shift and reporting time details. After the test, a provisional answer key will be issued, followed by a final answer key. The COMEDK UGET 2026 result and scorecards are expected by May 26, 2026, and will be used for counselling.

 

What Happens After the COMEDK UGET Exam?

Qualified students must participate in a centralised online counselling process for seat allocation in COMEDK-participating engineering colleges. The counselling schedule and institution cut-offs will be announced separately on the official website after results are declared.
