The announcement of the CLAT UG 4th Merit List 2026 has been postponed due to ongoing legal proceedings, while the PG Merit List will be released as scheduled.
The announcement of the CLAT UG 4th Merit List 2026 has been officially postponed by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). This decision comes amidst ongoing legal proceedings that have necessitated a delay. However, candidates preparing for the CLAT PG can rest assured that the CLAT PG Merit List 2026 will be released as per the original schedule.
The Consortium of NLUs has stated that the 4th round of counselling for the UG programme, which was initially set to begin soon, is now postponed. This decision is a direct result of ongoing legal matters before the Hon’ble Division Bench of the Allahabad High Court. The Consortium has filed a Special Appeal against a judgment delivered earlier this year by a single judge, which is currently under review by the court.
The judgment regarding this matter is expected to be pronounced on or after May 8, 2026. Following the court's decision, the 4th round of UG counselling will commence immediately, and a revised schedule will be uploaded on the official website.
Eligibility for CLAT UG 2026 Counselling
All candidates who have not yet secured admission to any National Law Universities (NLUs) in previous rounds are eligible to participate in this upcoming counselling round. This provides a crucial opportunity for those who are still seeking a place in the UG programmes offered by the NLUs.
How to Check CLAT 2026 Counselling and Seat Allotment Result?
To check the results for the CLAT 2026 counselling and seat allotment, candidates must visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs. The results will be made available there once the 4th Merit List is published. It is essential for candidates to stay updated by regularly checking the site for any announcements regarding the revised schedule.
