The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 third merit list for counselling is scheduled to be published on 05 February 2026 at 10 AM on the official Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) portal — consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates registered for the CLAT counselling process must access the rank list when it is released to review their allotment status and next steps. This third merit list corresponds to the third round of counselling allotment and will include rank-wise details of candidates who are provisionally selected for admission to participating NLUs based on their CLAT scores and counselling preferences.

What This Means for Counselling and Seat Allotment?

The third merit list represents the third round of the centralised CLAT counselling process, which candidates must monitor closely. Based on their position in the merit list and available seats, candidates will receive seat allotment notifications and instructions for further steps such as fee payment and document verification. Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete confirmation formalities by paying the required fees and submitting necessary documents within the specified timeframe. This ensures that allotted seats are secured and admission processes proceed smoothly for the academic session.

Timeline and Next Steps

According to the counselling schedule, the CLAT 2026 third merit list publication (05 February 2026) is followed by:

• Confirmation fee payment and admission procedures: 05 February 2026 – 12 February 2026 (tentative window)
• Fourth and subsequent merit lists (if applicable) released later in the cycle as counselling progresses

Candidates who do not secure their preferred seats in this merit list may be considered for subsequent rounds, depending on vacancies and counselling rules.
