CLAT 2026 Grievance Window Open: How to Challenge Results of CLAT

The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially released the CLAT 2026 grievance notice, allowing candidates to raise objections against the CLAT 2026 results and final answer key. Eligible candidates can submit their grievances through the designated online portal within the prescribed deadline. This grievance mechanism ensures transparency in the evaluation process and gives aspirants a fair opportunity to highlight discrepancies, if any, in the declared outcome.

CLAT 2026 Grievance Submission Last Date and Eligibility

As per the official notification, candidates who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test 2026 can submit objections on or before December 24, 2025. The grievance window applies to issues related to result computation and the final answer key only. Alongside the grievance process, CLAT 2026 Counselling registration has also commenced. Candidates must note that only those who complete counselling registration within the deadline will be eligible for seat allotment rounds.

  • Last date to raise CLAT 2026 grievances: December 24, 2025
  • Last date for CLAT 2026 counselling registration: December 27, 2026

Missing either deadline may impact admission prospects at participating law universities.

Official Guidelines for CLAT 2026 Grievance Redressal

Before initiating the grievance submission, candidates should carefully read the official instructions issued by the Consortium. The authority has clearly stated that grievances will be accepted only through the official grievance portal. Submissions made through email, phone calls, or any other communication channel will not be considered. Candidates are also advised not to submit multiple grievances for the same issue, as duplicate submissions may lead to rejection. Importantly, no grievance fee is charged, making the process accessible to all candidates.

How to Raise Objections Against CLAT 2026 Result?

Before starting the process, candidates should keep supporting documents ready to substantiate their claim. The grievance submission process is entirely online and must be completed in one go. Follow the steps below to submit a CLAT 2026 grievance:

  • Log in to the CLAT candidate account using registered credentials
  • Click on the Submit Grievance option
  • Select the category and nature of the grievance
  • Enter a clear description of the issue within 1000 characters
  • Upload supporting documents, if applicable
  • Complete the declaration as instructed
  • Submit the grievance through the portal

A grievance is considered valid only after successful completion of all steps.

CLAT 2026 Counselling Process Update

The CLAT 2026 counselling process has officially begun following the declaration of results. Registration is mandatory for participation in seat allotment rounds across National Law Universities and other participating institutes. Candidates who fail to register for counselling within the stipulated timeline will not be considered for admissions, irrespective of their rank or grievance status. The release of the grievance notice and counselling registration together marks a critical phase for law aspirants, requiring careful attention to deadlines and procedural compliance.
