CLAT 2026 Answer Key Released: Objection Window, Key Analysis

The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the provisional CLAT 2026 answer key, giving candidates their first official chance to assess performance from this year’s national-level entrance test. With more than 92,000 registrations, the provisional key marks a significant phase in the admission cycle, particularly for those preparing for counselling and academic planning. The release enables candidates to estimate raw scores and understand section-wise accuracy while comparing their attempts with the official responses. The consortium has also opened the CLAT 2026 Objection Window, allowing challenges to specific questions or answer choices. Objections will be reviewed by the expert committee before the publication of the final key and results. Academic experts noted that the answer key is not only a score-checking resource but an analytical tool for future preparation. Harsh Gagrani from LegalEdge highlighted that students should use this phase to identify recurring error patterns, difficulty spikes, and conceptual gaps. According to him, strategic analysis helps aspirants strengthen weaker areas and fine-tune approaches for counselling or potential retakes.

Objection Guidelines for CLAT 2026

The consortium has issued strict instructions for raising objections. Only academic justifications will be accepted, and each objection must be supported by credible references.

Key Points for Objections

  • Objections must be submitted through the official CLAT portal.
  • Each challenge should include a valid academic reference.
  • The consortium will consider objections before finalising the key.
  • After review, the final answer key and results will be released.

Why the Provisional Key Matters?

The answer key is essential for candidates planning the next steps in their admissions journey. Section-wise analysis helps them understand unexpected variations in difficulty and evaluate strengths across legal reasoning, English, logical reasoning, general knowledge and quantitative techniques. This is also an important period for counselling strategy. Performance insights often guide students to refine law school preferences and shortlist institutions realistically based on expected scores. With the final CLAT 2026 results expected after the review of objections, candidates are advised to track the official website for updates. The counselling schedule, registration steps and cut-off trends will be announced shortly after results.
