CLAT 2026 Answer Key Objection Window Closes Today at 5 PM

The Consortium of National Law Universities will close the CLAT 2026 answer key objection window today, December 12, at 5 PM. The provisional answer key was released earlier this week, and students have been given a short window to raise concerns about incorrect responses. The consortium has urged students to complete the process within the deadline, as no objections will be accepted after the cut-off time. This year, the fee to challenge a question has been set at INR 500 per objection, which must be paid online in favour of CNLUs. The consortium recently reduced the objection fee, making the process comparatively easier for students participating in the national-level law entrance examination.

What Students Should Check Before Challenging?

The CLAT provisional answer key is an important document for students assessing their likely scores and potential admission chances. Any discrepancy in the key must be supported with strong evidence, such as references from standard textbooks, expert explanations or official sources. The consortium has repeatedly advised students to avoid submitting objections without valid proof, as unsupported claims will be rejected. Students must also ensure the correct question number, answer option, and supporting document are uploaded during submission. Errors during submission cannot be corrected once the window closes.

How to Challenge the CLAT 2026 Answer Key?

Students can submit objections through the official CLAT portal. Below is the one-line intro followed by the steps:

  • Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Log in with registration number and password
  • Open the CLAT 2026 Provisional Answer Key Objection link
  • Select the question to challenge
  • Upload supporting proof
  • Pay INR 500 per objection
  • Submit the challenge before 5 PM

Important Points Not to Miss

Key guidelines for CLAT 2026 objection submission:

  • Do not miss the 5 PM deadline today
  • Valid evidence must be attached for each objection
  • Payment must be made online only
  • Ensure the correct question is selected
  • Cross-check the final submission before confirming

The final answer key of CLAT 2026 is expected to be released after reviewing all objections. The consortium will evaluate each challenge before publishing the updated key along with candidate responses.
