The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education cancelled the Class 12 Hindi examination following a confirmed paper leak incident. The exam, earlier conducted on 14 March 2026, will now be held again on 10 April 2026.

The decision was taken after reports surfaced that the Hindi question paper had circulated on social media prior to the examination. Investigations revealed that the leaked paper matched the actual exam questions, raising concerns over fairness. The board reviewed the situation in an examination committee meeting held on 23 March 2026, after which the earlier exam was declared void. Authorities stated that maintaining exam integrity and student fairness was the primary reason behind the cancellation.

 

CGBSE Class 12 Hindi Re-Exam Date and Timing

Students are advised to note the revised schedule released by the board. The re-examination will be conducted as per the following details.

  • Timing: 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM
  • Mode: Offline, at designated exam centres

The board has confirmed that the exam pattern and centres will remain unchanged, ensuring minimal disruption for candidates.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered, and the matter has been referred to the cyber cell for detailed examination.Reports indicate that the question paper was shared online nearly 10 hours before the exam and spread rapidly among students. The cancellation has affected a large number of Class 12 students, requiring them to reappear for the Hindi exam.
