CEPT University Opens Spring 2026 M.Arch Housing Design Admissions

CEPT University has opened Spring 2026 admissions for its Master’s in Architecture (Housing Design) programme. The move offers a rare mid-cycle opportunity for candidates who missed the regular intake but wish to join a nationally recognised housing design programme.

The two-year programme blends design studios and context-based coursework on affordability, regulations, typologies, and real-world case studies. It is the only programme in India that allows students to fully design their learning paths based on personal interests and professional goals.

CEPT University M.Arch Housing Design 2026: Programme Highlights

Students engage with vertical studios on themes such as flexibility, parametricism, and affordability. They also earn elective credits through CEPT’s Winter and Summer Schools, which offer diverse exposure across housing design systems.

Collaborations with global institutions like the National University of Singapore and TU Delft, along with leading practitioners such as Ar. Biju Kuriakose, Ar. Chitra Vishwanath, and Ar. Yatin Pandya, enrich the learning experience with international insights and professional perspectives.

India’s housing sector is expanding quickly, and architects trained in housing design are essential to meet changing policy, climate, and technological demands. The programme prepares learners to design climate-responsive, socially grounded housing for rapidly growing cities.

According to Professor Viswanath Kashikar, Programme Chair, the field needs more practitioners, researchers, and academicians. He stated that the programme creates opportunities for students to shape meaningful futures in housing design.
