This diverse range of courses is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their respective fields.

Application Process for Central University of Karnataka Postgraduate Programmes

Students interested in applying for these new master's degrees can now submit their applications online. The application process is facilitated through the university's official CUK-SAMARTH portal. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have qualified either the CUET (PG)-2026 or the GATE-2026. This requirement ensures that applicants meet the academic standards set by the university.

Earn While Learning Initiative at Central University of Karnataka

In addition to the new programmes, CUK has launched an innovative 'earning while learning' initiative aimed at promoting self-reliance and skill enhancement among students. This initiative will select 100 first-year master's students, who will receive a monthly stipend of INR 3,000 for a duration of six months.

The selected students will be required to work for 90 minutes each day, engaging in activities that contribute positively to the community. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Planting trees to support environmental sustainability
  • Assisting in educational efforts for children in nearby villages

This initiative not only provides financial support but also fosters a sense of community involvement and responsibility among students.

Implications for Students at Central University of Karnataka

The introduction of these new postgraduate programmes and the 'earning while learning' initiative reflects CUK's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and supporting student development. By focusing on modern skills and job readiness, the university is preparing its students for the challenges of the contemporary job market.

Moreover, the financial assistance provided through the 'earning while learning' programme can alleviate some of the economic burdens faced by students, allowing them to focus more on their studies while gaining valuable work experience.
