CEED 2026 Registration Opens for M.Des Seats at IIT Bombay

The CEED 2026 (Common Entrance Examination for Design) registration process has commenced under the leadership of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Aspirants seeking admission to M.Des and PhD programmes in design at IITs and partner institutions must register by October 31, 2025 with the standard fee, while a late-fee window opens until early November.

Eligibility Criteria and Fee Structure for CEED 2026

Candidates must meet these essential eligibility requirements and fee guidelines for CEED 2026:

  • Must have completed (or be appearing for) a three-year graduate degree/diploma after 10+2, or a GD Arts diploma (10+5 level) by July 2026.
  • No age limit applies for CEED.
  • Registration Fee: INR 4,000 for General candidates; INR 2,000 for Women, SC/ST/PwD categories.

 

Exam Pattern and Syllabus Highlights for CEED 2026

The CEED 2026 exam will be divided into two parts:

  • Part A (1 hour, computer-based): Includes NAT (Numerical Answer Type), MSQ (Multiple Select Questions), and MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Part B (2 hours, pen-paper): Focuses on drawing, creativity, visualisation, and design aptitude.

Syllabus spans: visual perception, spatial ability, analytical reasoning, design sensitivity, and drawing & sketching skills, equipping candidates to demonstrate both conceptual and practical strengths in design

  • Visit the CEED portal and complete registration by the deadline.
  • Ensure you upload required documents—photograph, signature, qualifying certificate, category certificate if applicable.
  • Begin focused preparation aligned with the syllabus—practice design awareness, drawing modules and aptitude tests.
  • Monitor admit-card release and exam centre assignments once registration is complete.
  • After the exam, download your scorecard and track participating institutes’ admission processes, as each institute will conduct independent counselling based on CEED scores.
