CCMT 2026 Special Round 1 Registration Starts July 14; Schedule Out

The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. (CCMT) 2026 Special Round 1 registration will commence on July 14, 2026, after the conclusion of the three regular counselling rounds. Candidates holding a valid GATE 2026, GATE 2025 or GATE 2024 score will be eligible to participate in the special round, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions. The vacant seat list will be released on July 13, 2026, ahead of the registration process.

CCMT 2026 Special Round 1 Eligibility Criteria

The special round has been introduced to fill vacant seats remaining after the completion of the regular counselling rounds. The following categories of candidates are eligible to participate:

• Candidates who did not register during the regular counselling rounds.
• Candidates who registered but were not allotted any seat.
• Candidates who were allotted a seat but withdrew from the counselling process.
• Candidates whose allotted seat was cancelled due to document discrepancies.
• Candidates who accepted a seat and selected the "Surrender and Participate in Next Round" option for an upgrade.

Candidates must possess a valid GATE scorecard for 2024, 2025 or 2026 to participate in the CCMT 2026 counselling process.

CCMT 2026 Special Round Registration Process

Eligible candidates will be able to complete the registration process online from July 14, 2026. During registration, applicants must pay the prescribed registration and participation fee, fill in their preferred institutes and programmes, and lock their choices before the deadline.
