CBSE Postpones Class 12 Exams 12–16 March 2026 in Middle East following a review of the current situation in several countries in the region. The Central Board of Secondary Education announced that the examinations scheduled during this period will not be conducted as planned. Fresh dates for the affected exams will be announced later by the board.

 

The decision was taken after authorities assessed the situation and concerns regarding the mental stress faced by students appearing for the board examinations.

 

Countries Affected by CBSE Class 12 Exam Postponement

The postponement applies to CBSE Class 12 examinations scheduled in multiple Middle East countries. The decision was made after reviewing conditions in the region and the impact on students. The countries where the exams have been postponed include:

  • Bahrain
  • Iran
  • Kuwait
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools in these countries were scheduled to appear for board exams between 12 March 2026 and 16 March 2026.

 

Revised CBSE Class 12 Exam Dates to Be Announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education has not yet announced the revised examination schedule for the postponed papers. The board confirmed that new dates will be released after reviewing the situation in the region.

 

According to the examination controller, authorities will conduct another review on 14 March 2026 to assess the conditions before making further decisions regarding upcoming examinations.

 

Reason Behind the CBSE Exam Postponement

The board stated that the decision was taken after a critical assessment of the ongoing regional tensions and the impact on students preparing for the examinations. Officials noted that uncertainty and stress among candidates were important factors in postponing the exams.

 

The CBSE administration emphasised that the priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of students appearing for the Class 12 board examinations. Further updates regarding the revised exam dates and subsequent papers will be released by the board after the next review.
