CBSE Issues Important Notice On Class 9 And 11 Registration Deadline

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a final reminder to all affiliated schools to complete the registration of Class 9 and Class 11 students for the 2025-26 academic session by October 16, 2025. Schools must submit accurate and verified student details to avoid administrative and academic issues.

Schools failing to adhere to the deadline or submitting incomplete information may face problems in student records and academic planning.

Registration Guidelines for Schools

In Circular No. CBSE/REGN/2025-2026 dated September 11, 2025, the board outlined strict instructions for schools:

  • Ensure that all student data is accurate and complete.
  • Record the subjects selected by students precisely.
  • Verify the entire registration information before submission.

The board emphasised that schools must strictly follow these instructions to maintain reliable records and prevent inconsistencies in academic data.

Principals Advised to Adhere to Deadline

CBSE reminded all principals:

"Only three days remain for the submission of registration data for Class IX and XI. Schools must adhere strictly to the schedule and guidelines."

This deadline highlights the importance of early registration for smooth academic planning and administrative processes.

Tentative Dates for CBSE 2026 Board Exams

CBSE has also released the tentative board exam schedule for Class 10 and 12:

  • Exams will be conducted from February 17 to July 15, 2026.
  • Around 45 lakh students are expected to appear in 204 subjects across India and 26 other countries.

The tentative timetable aims to:

  • Help students organise their studies efficiently.
  • Allow schools to schedule academic and administrative tasks like teacher allocation.
  • Provide teachers with clarity to plan personal commitments and holidays.
  • Enable a more systematic conduct of exams overall.

The CBSE notification underscores the importance of timely registration and accurate data submission for Class 9 and 11 students to ensure smooth academic operations in the 2025-26 session.
