CBSE Directs Schools to Ensure Accurate Data for 2027 Board Exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a fresh directive instructing schools to ensure complete accuracy while submitting registration data for Classes 9 and 11 students, which forms the basis for the 2027 board examinations. The board emphasized that all staff handling student information must strictly follow the official guidelines to avoid data entry errors. The CBSE’s latest circular highlights that schools must register 100% of students enrolled in Classes 9 and 11, leaving no candidate unaccounted for under any circumstance. It also urged schools to inform parents about the importance of providing accurate details and the consequences of incorrect submissions.

CBSE Lists Reasons for Missed Registrations

The board pointed out that certain excuses will no longer be accepted if any student is found unregistered in the system. These include:

  • Absence due to illness or travel during the registration period
  • Name mistakenly omitted or deleted
  • Technical issues during submission

CBSE stated that any registration request made in 2026 while filing the List of Candidates (LOC) for 2027 will not be accepted. In such cases, the concerned school will not be allowed to sponsor the student for the 2027 board examination.

LOC Submission for 2026 Board Exams Closes Today

Meanwhile, the submission window for the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2026 Board Exams closes today, October 9, 2025. Schools must complete the registration process on the official website — cbse.gov.in — by the end of the day to avoid disqualification. Although the LOC payment window for the late fee will remain open until October 11, 2025, no new submissions will be accepted after today. Late fee payments can only be made by schools that have submitted the form within the deadline. The board has clearly stated that delayed or incomplete submissions will lead to student disqualification, and responsibility for any lapses will rest solely with the respective school administration.
