CBSE Board Exams 2026 LOC Data Correction Window Closing on Oct 27

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the LOC data correction window for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 board exams on October 27, 2025. Schools must ensure that all student details submitted through the official portal cbse.gov.in are accurate before the deadline.

The correction window allows schools, parents, and students to modify personal and academic data to ensure a smooth examination process. Once the window closes, no further changes will be permitted.

Details That Need to Be Correct in LOC

The board has advised that the following particulars must be verified carefully:

1. Personal Data: Ensure the student’s name, date of birth, mother’s name, and father’s name are correctly filled.
2. Full Names: All names should be in expanded form and not abbreviated.
3. Surname: Include surname if your ward plans to study abroad, as many countries require it.
4. Date of Birth: Verify the DOB is correct in all records.
5. Passport Details: If the student has a passport, confirm the LOC details match the passport.
6. Subjects: Ensure subjects for Classes 10 and 12 are correctly listed; no changes will be accepted after the correction window.
7. Responsibility: Parents and schools must ensure that all LOC data is accurate before submission.

The LOC data correction window is a final opportunity for error-free submission of student details. Parents and schools are advised to act promptly, as no modifications will be allowed after October 27, 2025.

Accurate LOC data helps in the smooth conduct of CBSE board exams 2026 and avoids discrepancies in certificates and results later.
