The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the List of Candidates (LOC) correction window for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams today, October 27, 2025. This marks the final opportunity for schools, parents, and students to correct any errors in student data submitted for the CBSE Board Exams 2026.
Details to Verify Before Deadline
CBSE has advised schools and parents to carefully review all student information to prevent discrepancies later during admit card generation or result processing. The board emphasized that no major corrections will be accepted after today. Below are the details to verify:
- Student’s full name (avoid initials or short forms)
- Mother’s and father’s names in full form
- Date of birth as per official records or passport
- Inclusion of surname, especially for students applying abroad
- Subjects chosen for Class 10 and Class 12 in the LOC form
- Personal details consistent with passport (if available)
The board clarified that minor spelling corrections or small mismatches can be rectified within this window, while major edits such as exam centre changes or subject alterations will require separate approval.
How to Make Corrections?
Schools and parents can complete the correction process through the official CBSE portal.
- Visit the official website: cbse.gov.in.
- Log in using school credentials or the student ID provided by the institution.
- Review the entered details, including:
- Full name and spelling
- Date of birth
- Subject combinations
- Exam centre details
- Submit corrections online for school verification.
- Schools must review and forward the verified data to CBSE for final approval.
Once the corrections are verified, CBSE will issue the final LOC and roll number certificates, which are mandatory for students appearing in the 2026 board examinations.
Board’s Reminder to Schools and Parents
CBSE has reiterated that the accuracy of data is the joint responsibility of both schools and parents. Any mismatch in details such as name, date of birth, or subjects may cause issues during admit card issuance, board results, or future verification. Schools have been advised to provide dedicated support to students to ensure all information is accurate and updated before today’s deadline. For official notifications and future updates, schools and students are encouraged to visit the CBSE website regularly.
