CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the List of Candidates (LOC) portal for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board exams 2026. Schools can now fill and submit the LOC formthrough the official website at cbse.gov.in. According to the official notice, the portal will remain open until October 8, 2025, for regular submissions. Schools that miss this deadline will be able to submit forms with a late fee until October 11, 2025.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: Role and Importance of the LOC Portal
The LOC portal plays a key role in confirming students’ eligibility to appear in the board exams. Through this platform, schools complete tasks such as student verification, subject selection, and exam centre allocation. CBSE has clarified that completing the LOC process accurately and on time is mandatory. Any delay or incorrect submission may result in students losing their eligibility to sit for the 2026 board exams.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: Late Fee Information
Schools submitting the LOC form after October 8, 2025, must pay a late fee. The last date for accepting forms with a late fee is October 11, 2025. After this date, the portal will close, and no further forms will be accepted. This provision allows schools a short grace period to ensure all students are properly registered, even after the standard submission deadline.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: Portal Submission Guidelines
The Board has issued clear instructions for schools regarding the submission of LOC forms. Each school must verify all details carefully before final submission. According to CBSE, “Schools will be held responsible for any errors or delays in form submission.” Failure to submit the LOC by the due date can result in cancellation of students’ exam eligibility.
