The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared the CBSE 12th Result 2026 on May 13 at the official websites cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. This year, the overall pass percentage dropped to 85.20%, compared to 88.39% recorded in 2025. Soon after the result announcement, many students took to social media platforms to express disappointment over lower marks, stricter evaluation, and unexpected score reductions in several subjects. Discussions around the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system also started trending online.
