According to Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Education, students will be charged INR 100 to view their answer sheets and INR 100 for validation. The fee for re-evaluation has been reduced to INR 25 per question. Importantly, if a student's marks increase following the re-evaluation, the entire fee will be refunded.

In light of the recent controversies surrounding the CBSE's on-screen marking system, the Ministry has emphasized its commitment to ensuring transparency and accuracy in the evaluation process. The on-screen marking system, first implemented in 2014, has been subject to scrutiny due to concerns about potential errors in grading.

Approximately 1.25 crore answer scripts were evaluated, and while the vast majority of assessments were accurate, the Ministry acknowledges that errors can occur. To address these issues, the re-evaluation facility is available to students who believe their marks do not reflect their performance.
