The CAT 2026 Registration process is currently active on the official website, and IIM Indore will close the application window on September 15, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates seeking admission to IIMs and other participating management institutes must complete the CAT Application Form 2026 before the deadline.

IIM Indore opened the CAT 2026 registration window on August 3. Candidates are advised to complete the form, upload the required documents, select their preferred test cities and pay the application fee well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical or payment issues.

CAT Registration 2026: Important Dates

The CAT 2026 exam will be conducted on November 29 in three sessions. Candidates should complete registration before the September 15 deadline because no application will be accepted after the official closing time unless an extension is announced.

CAT 2026 Application Fee

The CAT 2026 application fee differs according to the candidate's category. General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates have to pay Rs 2,700, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates have to pay Rs 1,350.

The CAT registration fee has to be paid online through the designated payment gateway. Candidates can use UPI, net banking, credit card, debit card or wallet for completing the payment. The fee is non-refundable once the transaction has been processed.

How to Fill CAT Application Form 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the CAT 2026 application form:

1. Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the Register option under New Candidate Registration.
3. Enter your name, date of birth, email ID, country and mobile number.
4. Complete OTP verification.
5. Note the User ID and Password sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
6. Log in through the Registered Candidate Login and click GO TO APPLICATION.
7. Enter personal, emergency contact and communication details.
8. Fill Class 10, Class 12 or Diploma, bachelor's degree and other academic details.
9. Add eligible full-time work experience completed up to July 31, 2026.
10. Select preferred IIM programmes and corresponding interview cities.
11. Select five distinct test city preferences.
12. Upload the required photograph, signature and category or disability certificates, wherever applicable.
13. Preview the complete application form and verify all details.
14. Pay the CAT application fee online.
15. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

CAT 2026 Registration: Documents Required

Candidates should keep their CAT 2026 registration documents ready before starting the application. These include academic records, a recent passport-size photograph, signature and applicable category or disability certificates.

Final-year candidates can also apply provisionally. Such candidates may need a university-issued certificate confirming completion of their degree requirements within the prescribed timeline. Professional degree holders such as CA, CS and CMA candidates are also eligible under the applicable CAT rules.

CAT 2026 Test City Preferences

Candidates filling the CAT Application Form 2026 must select five distinct test cities in order of preference. The same city cannot be entered more than once.

Applicants should select their preferences carefully because the test city will be allotted based on their choices and availability. The current CAT registration process includes more than 170 examination cities.

CAT 2026 Exam Date and Admit Card

The CAT 2026 exam date is November 29, 2026. The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode across three sessions. The CAT 2026 admit card is scheduled to be released on November 4.

Candidates who successfully complete registration will be able to download their admit cards using their CAT login credentials. The result is expected to be announced in the first week of January 2027.
