CAT 2025 Slot 3 Analysis Reveals Difficult DILR and Moderate VARC

CAT 2025 Slot 3 analysis indicates that the third session of the exam maintained a tougher tone, especially for the DILR section. A Slot 3 candidate shared that DILR was difficult, while Quants was moderate-difficult. The VARC section was moderate but lengthy, making time management a challenge.

The CAT 2025 exam was held on November 30, 2025, in three slots across the country. Test-takers reported that the overall paper was more demanding compared to last year.

CAT 2025 DILR Difficulty Level

The candidate stated that the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section was the toughest part of the exam. The section required strong analytical skills and careful reading of caselets. Several sets involved multi-layered reasoning, which increased the time required to attempt each question.

CAT 2025 VARC Section Analysis

The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section was rated moderate but lengthy. Passages were long and required detailed reading, which made time management harder for many candidates. The RC questions were mostly inference-based, with few direct factual questions.

CAT 2025 Quantitative Aptitude Review

The Quantitative Aptitude section was described as moderate-difficult. Arithmetic and Algebra dominated the paper. Questions on Geometry and Number Systems were present but fewer in number.

Candidates faced moderate calculation requirements, and some questions involved tricky framing. Those who attempted the paper with a balanced strategy were likely to do better. The section required strong conceptual clarity and quick calculation skills.

Expected Impact on CAT 2025 Cutoff

Based on the candidate’s feedback, the difficulty of DILR and the lengthy nature of VARC may influence the overall score distribution. Quants being moderate-difficult further supports the view that Slot 3 was not easy.

If other students report similar experiences, the overall cutoff for Slot 3 may remain balanced or slightly lower than expected. However, the final impact will depend on the official normalisation process.

CAT 2025 Exam Day Experience

Slot 3 candidates noted that the exam centres followed standard protocols. The paper pattern remained the same as previous years, and no technical issues were reported. The overall difficulty level made the session challenging but fair.

CAT 2025 Results will be announced in January 2026, after which the admission process for IIMs will begin. Students are advised to keep their documents and score details ready once the result is declared.
