Understanding Scaled Score in CAT
CAT scorecards display scaled scores, not raw marks. The scaled score normalizes performance across different exam slots, ensuring fairness for candidates who faced tougher question papers. For example, slot 3 of CAT 2025 was reportedly the most challenging, and normalization adjusts scores accordingly.
Next Steps After CAT Result
- IIMs and top B-schools will begin PI shortlisting based on CAT scores.
- MBA applications for IITs and other institutes will open from December 25–26, 2025.
- Candidates should prepare required documents and start applying to preferred B-schools immediately.
