CAT 2025 result is expected anytime, and aspirants are eagerly waiting to check their final percentile. Around 2.58 lakh candidates appeared for the CAT exam this year. The result will play a crucial role in planning MBA admissions for the 2025–27 academic session.

While CAT is primarily known as the gateway to IIMs, many candidates also consider top non-IIM institutes. Not all aspirants score high enough for IIM admission, and some students deliberately prefer private MBA colleges due to better infrastructure, industry exposure, and global tie-ups.

CAT 2025 Score Acceptance Beyond IIMs

As per available data, nearly 1,600 MBA colleges in India accept CAT scores for admission to their two-year full-time MBA programmes. These include both government-supported and private institutions.

Candidates scoring above 95 percentile are advised to keep options open beyond IIMs as several reputed private institutes offer strong academic quality and placements. Even candidates scoring below 95 percentile still have a wide range of good colleges to consider.

Private MBA colleges often stand out due to modern campuses, strong corporate connections, international collaborations, and consistent placement records.

Key advantages include better student–industry interaction, international exposure programmes, experienced faculty, and competitive average salary packages. Several private institutes also maintain smaller batch sizes, allowing more personalised learning.
