As the CAT 2025 examination concluded across centres, first-time aspirants have begun sharing their experiences regarding difficulty level, confidence and section-wise performance. Among them, Ritika Bhardwaj from Rohini and Aditi from Delhi provided detailed feedback after appearing for the exam. Both candidates appeared in the examination with focused preparation and are now closely evaluating their chances for final selection.
Ritika Bhardwaj, Rohtak — First Attempt with Sixty to Seventy Percent Confidence
Ritika Bhardwaj, a first-time CAT aspirant from Rohini, described the paper as balanced with a few challenging stretches. With preparation support from Times Coaching, she estimated her overall performance confidence in the range of sixty to seventy percent. According to Ritika, the Logical Reasoning section felt comparatively harder, demanding more time per set and deeper interpretation. However, she found Mathematics easier than expected, which helped her maintain speed and accuracy during the later part of the paper. Despite it being her first CAT attempt, Ritika expressed cautious optimism and is now focused on analysing expected cut-offs before planning the next steps in admissions.
Aditi, Delhi — Logical Reasoning Tough, Maths Manageable
Aditi from Delhi also shared a similar experience. She termed the paper as “good but mentally demanding” due to the pressure built by the Logical Reasoning sets. In contrast, she stated that the Mathematics section was relatively easier, offering scope for clean attempts. Aditi is already serious about long-term preparation for CAT 2026, irrespective of the current outcome. She believes the current attempt has given her a clear understanding of exam pressure, time management and real difficulty levels.
What These Reactions Indicate?
Feedback from both candidates highlights a common trend:
- Logical Reasoning emerged tougher
- Mathematics remained manageable
- First-time candidates maintained moderate to high confidence
- Many aspirants are already strategising for CAT 2026
Such reactions indicate that experience gained in the first attempt plays a major role in shaping future preparation, especially for high-stakes management entrance examinations like CAT.
