CAT 2025 Exam Day Instructions Released by IIM Kozhikode for Nov 30

IIM Kozhikode has released the official CAT 2025 exam day instructions ahead of the national management entrance test scheduled on November 30. The advisory, shared with registered candidates through email, outlines essential rules, required documents, security protocols, and exam-lab regulations. This year, two lakh ninety-five thousand candidates are expected to appear for the test, which will be conducted in three sessions across one hundred seventy cities. The guidelines are aimed at ensuring smooth entry, fair conduct, and minimal last-minute confusion at the examination centres.

CAT 2025 Exam-Day Rules and Required Documents

The exam-day advisory issued by IIM Kozhikode highlights the mandatory documents that candidates must carry, along with strict reporting rules for all sessions. These instructions ensure that verification, seating, and security procedures run efficiently across test centres nationwide. The guidelines also emphasise the need for accurate identification and adherence to the assigned time slot. The points below summarise the key instructions.

  • CAT Admit Card 2025: Candidates must carry two printed copies of the hall ticket with a recent passport-size photograph affixed at the designated space. The admit card is session-specific, and appearing in a different slot will lead to disqualification.
  • Valid Photo ID: A government-approved photo ID is compulsory. Accepted IDs include PAN, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar with photo, E-Aadhaar, Ration Card, or an ID Affidavit.
  • Reporting Time: Entry will close once the gate-closing time is reached. Candidates are advised to visit their test centre a day before to avoid navigation or traffic delays.

Items Not Allowed Inside CAT 2025 Test Centres

The exam authority has reiterated strict restrictions on personal items inside the CAT Exam Hall. The guidelines aim to maintain uniformity, eliminate unfair advantages, and ensure a secure test environment. Aspirants must adhere to the following restrictions to avoid denial of entry or disciplinary action.

  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, earbuds, and digital wallets are not permitted.
  • Stationery items, papers, books, and bags are barred from the premises.
  • Jewellery, metal accessories, thick-soled footwear, and garments with large buttons are prohibited.
  • Candidates will receive a writing pad and pen for rough work. They must write their name and CAT 2025 application number on the sheet and submit it before exiting the lab.
  • Bio breaks are discouraged during the exam, as lost time will not be compensated. In emergencies, candidates may step out but will undergo frisking before re-entry.
