CAT 2025 Answer Key Objections Close Today; Result Date Soon

The CAT 2025 answer key objection window will close today, marking the final opportunity for candidates to challenge any discrepancies in the provisional solutions released by IIM Kozhikode. More than 2.58 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam on November 30, 2025, are now awaiting the next phase of evaluation, including expert review, normalisation, and final scoring. The provisional answer key and response sheets were released on December 4, 2025, followed by the start of the objection submission process on December 8, 2025.

CAT 2025 Answer Key: Key Details and Objection Deadline

IIM Kozhikode has confirmed that candidates may submit objections until 11:55 PM on December 10, 2025. Once the window closes, a panel of subject experts will examine every challenge submitted through the official portal. The analysis will culminate in the release of the final CAT 2025 answer key, which will directly influence the final scaled scores. IIM Kozhikode will publish the CAT 2025 result in the first week of January 2026, following the established normalisation process across all three exam slots. The CAT Exam 2025 was conducted at 339 test centres nationwide in computer-based mode, maintaining its three-section structure and standardised difficulty levels.

CAT 2025 Marking Scheme and Normalisation Process Explained

Before sharing the step-by-step objection process, it is important to understand the marking system that determines the final percentile calculation. CAT 2025 follows a uniform scoring model designed to ensure fairness across sessions:

  • +3 marks for each correct answer
  • −1 mark for each incorrect MCQ
  • 0 marks for non-MCQ (TITA) questions
  • No penalty for unattempted questions

Normalisation will adjust raw marks to account for variations in difficulty across slots, ensuring equitable evaluation for all candidates.
