The Bihar School Examination Board is set to conduct the Bihar Board Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 from 02 February 2026. Around 13.18 lakh candidates will appear at 1,762 examination centres across Bihar. BSEB has implemented strict entry schedules to maintain discipline at examination centres. Students must enter well before the exam begins, as gates will close sharply 30 minutes prior to the start time. The shift-wise entry schedule is given below:
- Morning shift exam time: 9:30 am
- Entry begins: 8:30 am
- Gates close: 9:00 am
- Afternoon shift exam time: 2:00 pm
- Entry begins: 1:00 pm
- Gates close: 1:30 pm
Students have been advised to reach centres at least one hour early to avoid last-minute delays.
Criminal Action for Forced Entry After Gate Closure
The board has warned that any attempt to enter an exam centre illegally after gate closure will be treated as criminal trespass. Forced entry, including jumping boundary walls, will lead to strict punishment. Key actions announced by BSEB include:
- Candidate expulsion for two years
- FIR registration for illegal entry attempts
- Immediate suspension of staff or superintendents helping such acts
- Legal proceedings against responsible officials
Bihar Board Exam 2026 Security and CCTV Surveillance Measures
To prevent cheating, BSEB has mandated multi-layered security and digital monitoring across all centres. The following measures will be enforced during the exams:
- Candidate frisking at the main gate and inside the exam hall
- Strict ban on mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches, and calculators
- CCTV cameras mandatory at all centres
- One videographer assigned for every 500 candidates
Additionally, Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 will remain active within 200 metres of all centres to restrict unauthorised gatherings.
Bihar Board Inter Exam Pattern 2026 and Student Support Measures
Despite strict monitoring, BSEB has introduced student-friendly steps to reduce stress and improve fairness. The key support measures include:
- 100% extra question choices in both objective and subjective sections
- Additional 15 minutes for reading question papers and OMR sheets
- Unique student ID-based identification system introduced in 2023
- Scribe facility for students unable to write, with 20 minutes extra time per hour
