The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has commenced the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 (Class 12) from 2 February 2026, marking the start of one of the state’s largest academic assessments. The exams are underway at 1,762 centres across Bihar, with extensive preparations and protocols implemented to facilitate orderly conduct.
BSEB Intermediate Exam 2026 Large‑Scale Conduct Across the State
State education authorities have set up 1,762 exam centres to accommodate more than 13 lakh students taking the Class 12 board exams this year. These centres span urban and rural districts, ensuring access for students from diverse regions. The exams will be held in two shifts each day, covering core subjects from science, arts and commerce streams. In several locations, school administrations and local officials have coordinated logistics including traffic management plans and special arrangements near major cities like Patna and Muzaffarpur to avoid congestion and support students traveling to centres on exam days.
BSEB Intermediate Exam 2026 Security and Fair Conduct Measures
To uphold academic integrity, BSEB has implemented strict policies that apply at all examination venues. These include multiple levels of frisking for candidates, deployment of invigilators and law enforcement, and monitoring systems such as CCTV cameras. Entry restrictions have also been enforced in and around exam centres to eliminate unauthorized access and minimize disturbance. Students are advised to reach their centres well before scheduled reporting times and to comply with all board instructions printed on their admit cards. Punctuality and adherence to exam rules are critical, as late entry is typically not permitted once examinations begin.
BSEB Intermediate Exam 2026 Exam Duration and Next Steps
The Intermediate examinations are scheduled to run from 2 February to 13 February 2026, covering subjects such as biology, economics, language papers and others according to the published timetable. Successful completion of this annual assessment is essential for students seeking admission to higher education programmes.
BSEB has reiterated guidelines related to discipline, documentation and prohibited items at examination halls to support students and staff during the testing period. Candidates and guardians are encouraged to follow official updates and announcements from the Board and school authorities.
