The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially confirmed that the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 will be conducted as per schedule from October 14, 2025, putting an end to rumours about a possible postponement.
The clarification follows a wave of confusion among candidates caused by unverified online reports claiming a delay in the STET exam. The speculation arose after the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE-4) was postponed and amid discussions about the Bihar Assembly Elections scheduled for November 6 and 11, 2025.
BSEB Clarifies STET 2025 Exam Will Be Held as Scheduled
In an official statement issued through its verified social media accounts, the BSEB reaffirmed that there has been no change in the Bihar STET 2025 exam date.
The board stated,
“Bihar School Examination Board had published Notification No. PR 245/2025 in various newspapers on 01.10.2025, according to which Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 is scheduled from 14.10.2025. There has been no change to the above date. Candidates are advised to follow official updates only from BSEB’s verified social media handles on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.”
The BSEB urged all candidates to avoid relying on unofficial sources or social media posts spreading misinformation about the exam schedule.
Bihar STET 2025 Exam Details
More than five lakh candidates are expected to appear for the STET 2025 exam. It will be conducted in multiple shifts across the state for secondary and higher secondary level subjects starting October 14, 2025.
The board has also confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that the examination is conducted smoothly, securely, and on time.
