BSEB Class 10 Board Exams 2026 Begin for 15.12 Lakh Students

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 10 board exams 2026 began on 17 February 2026 with 15.12 lakh students appearing across the state. Examinations are being held in two shifts daily and will conclude on 25 February 2026 at 1,699 centres.

BSEB Class 10 Board Exams 2026 Begin for 15.12 Lakh Students

The Bihar School Examination Board’s (BSEB) Class 10 annual examinations 2026 commenced on 17 February 2026, with approximately 15,12,687 candidates appearing for the matric board tests across 1,699 exam centres in the state. The exams began with language papers, including Hindi, and will continue in multiple subjects through 25 February 2026.

 

BSEB Class 10 Exam Schedule and Participation

The board has arranged the Class 10 board examinations in a two-shift format to manage the large number of candidates. On the first day, students took the language-based papers in both shifts, with the mathematics exam scheduled on 18 February 2026 in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

  • Exam Commencement: 17 February 2026
  • Exam Conclusion: 25 February 2026
  • Total Students Appearing: ~15.12 lakh
  • Exam Centres: 1,699 locations statewide
  • Shift Timings:
    • Morning Shift: 9:30 AM – 12:45 PM
    • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM

Among the total candidates, there are 7,85,726 girls and 7,26,961 boys appearing for the exams in various languages and subjects across the state.

 

BSEB Class 10 Exam Day Guidelines and Protocols

BSEB has issued strict instructions to ensure exam integrity and smooth conduct at all centres:

  • Candidates must carry their admit cards, a valid ID, and necessary stationery.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones and smartwatches are prohibited inside examination halls.
  • Students are advised to arrive at the exam centre well before reporting time to avoid delays.

Security measures, including frisking checks by magistrates and police personnel, have been implemented to maintain fairness and discipline throughout the examination process.

Students appearing for the Bihar Board Class 10 exams should:

  • Follow all centre instructions carefully on exam days.
