B.Pharm Admissions Maharashtra 2025: CAP Round 1 Starts September 25

B.Pharm admissions in Maharashtra for the academic year 2025-26 have finally commenced after delays in student registration for almost two months. The Maharashtra CET Cell released the detailed admission brochure and timetable on September 22, 2025, outlining the revised process for Pharmacy admissions.

Maharashtra B.Pharm 2025 CAP Round 1 Seat Matrix Release

The seat matrix for CAP Round 1 will be published on September 24, 2025, while the first round of CAP admissions will begin on September 25, 2025. The revised admission structure introduces four CAP rounds instead of three to ensure maximum admissions through the centralized process.

Mandatory Admission Confirmation Rules for CAP Rounds

The admission brochure specifies stricter rules for seat confirmation in each CAP round to prevent seat blocking:

• Round 1: Candidates must confirm admission if allotted a seat in their first-preferred college.
• Round 2: Confirmation is mandatory if the seat is in the first three preferred colleges.
• Round 3: Candidates must confirm if the seat is in the first six colleges from their preference list.

This expansion of mandatory confirmation ensures that most students secure admission by the end of Round 3, leaving Round 4 for remaining candidates before institutional-level rounds fill remaining vacancies.

Delay in Maharashtra B.Pharm Admissions

Pharmacy admissions were delayed for nearly two months due to pending approvals for new colleges. The registration deadline was extended multiple times, causing stress among aspirants and institutions as admissions for other professional courses in Maharashtra were already completed. Officials stated that the revised confirmation rules and additional CAP round will streamline the process and reduce seat-blocking, allowing a smoother admission flow for all candidates. Candidates are advised to follow the official CET Maharashtra website for detailed schedules, seat matrices, and admission instructions to avoid last-minute complications.
