BITSAT 2026 Registration Opens Tomorrow: Eligibility Rules Out

The BITSAT 2026 registration process will begin tomorrow, December 15, as per the official schedule released by BITS Pilani. Along with the application timeline, the institute has also published the BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria, clarifying who can apply for engineering and pharmacy programmes. Candidates planning admission to BITS Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad campuses must carefully review the eligibility rules before filling out the application form.

 

BITSAT 2026 Registration Schedule and Exam Overview

The Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Admission Test is conducted for admission to B.E, M.Sc, and B.Pharm programmes across BITS campuses. For BITSAT exam 2026, candidates can apply for Session 1 or both sessions starting December 15 through the official admissions portal. Only those applicants who meet the prescribed academic and attempt criteria will be considered for admission, regardless of test performance.

 

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria for B.E and M.Sc Programmes

Before checking individual requirements, aspirants should understand that BITSAT eligibility is strictly academic merit based, with no relaxation in minimum marks. For B.E programmes (except Environmental and Sustainability Engineering) and M.Sc courses, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Passed Class 12 under the 10+2 system from a recognized board
  • Studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one Language, and one additional subject
  • Secured 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Obtained 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

Both theory and practical marks are included while calculating percentages.

 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharm and Environmental Engineering

BITS Pilani has separate subject requirements for B.Pharm and B.E Environmental and Sustainability Engineering courses. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics, one Language, and one additional subject at Class 12 level. The minimum marks requirement remains 75 percent aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics, with 60 percent minimum in each subject. Students opting through the PCB stream must also have mathematics proficiency at Class 10 level.

 

Class 12 Attempt Rules for BITSAT 2026

Before reviewing attempt related rules, candidates should note that BITS considers only the latest valid performance in Class 12. The eligibility related to Class 12 attempts is summarized below:
