BITSAT 2026 Exam in April & May: Early Schedule and Reasons

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has opened the BITSAT 2026 registration from December 15, 2025. Unlike previous years, the exam dates have been advanced by nearly a month. Session 1 will be conducted from April 15 to 17, 2026, and Session 2 is scheduled for May 24 to 26, 2026. This early schedule is aimed at reducing delays in the admission process and ensuring better coordination with other national-level engineering entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Previously, BITSAT used to be held late in May–June, overlapping with JoSAA counselling, which often created confusion for students choosing between JEE and BITS admissions.

Reasons for Early BITSAT 2026 Schedule

  1. Alignment with National Exams: Conducting BITSAT earlier avoids clashes with JEE Main and Advanced, helping aspirants plan admissions better.
  2. On-time Academic Calendar: Early exams allow BITS to begin its academic year on schedule alongside other premier engineering institutes.
  3. Reduced Admission Delays: Earlier results facilitate smoother and faster seat allocation and admission procedures.

BITSAT 2026 Registration and Notification

The official notification detailing exam pattern, syllabus, and session guidelines will be released shortly. Candidates are advised to register early and plan preparations for the new April–May exam schedule to secure admission to the prestigious BITS campuses.
