Bihar Schools Closed Today; Delhi-NCR Schools Shift to Hybrid Mode

Several regions across the country have revised their school schedules today due to the Bihar Assembly Election results and worsening air pollution levels in Delhi-NCR. The mixed announcements have led to uncertainty among parents, especially since November fourteen is also observed as Children’s Day. Officials clarified that Children’s Day is not a public holiday, and governments do not declare school closures for this reason. However, certain private schools may choose to remain closed depending on internal decisions.

Schools Closed in Bihar Due to Election Duties

Some schools in Bihar have been declared closed today as they are being used as polling and counting centres for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, with results scheduled for announcement on November fourteen. Local authorities informed that these closures are temporary and linked purely to the election process.

Delhi-NCR Schools Move to Hybrid Classes

The rising pollution levels in Delhi NCR have prompted several districts to revise their schedules. Ghaziabad and Gurugram schools have shifted to a hybrid model, combining in-person and online learning. This decision follows ongoing air quality concerns reported across the region. In Gurugram, the Directorate of School Education issued a notice recommending suspension of physical classes for students up to Class five. District Commissioners were asked to instruct schools to adopt online or hybrid classes to ensure student safety.

Telangana Schools Also Affected

A few schools in Telangana remained shut today as part of election-related arrangements. Authorities confirmed that the closures were issued to support the smooth conduct of poll duties.
