The Bihar School Examination Board has released the official notification for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026–28, opening the gateway for aspiring primary and upper-primary teachers in the state. Online applications will be accepted from 12/11/2025 to 12/24/2025, enabling candidates to apply for seats across 306 DElEd colleges in Bihar. The entrance exam will serve as the mandatory qualifying step for admission.

 

BSEB DElEd 2026 Eligibility & Key Requirements

The board has outlined clear academic and social-category norms for appearing in the Bihar DElEd 2026 entrance test. Candidates must have secured 50% in Class 12, while those belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EBC, and PwD categories get a 5% relaxation. The Maulvi qualification awarded by recognised boards is also accepted under the same criteria. Before registering, applicants should understand the complete eligibility and supporting documents required. This helps reduce form-correction issues and ensures smooth verification during the counselling process.

  • Class 12 marksheet and certificate
  • Valid ID proof (Aadhaar/other government ID)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photograph and digital signature
  • Class 10 certificate for age verification

 

Application Fee & Online Submission Process

The DElEd 2026 application fee has been fixed according to category:

  • General, EWS, BC, EBC: INR 960
  • SC, ST, PwD: INR 760

The application must be completed through the official portal, including registration, personal details, qualification entry, document upload, and online payment. Applicants are advised to save the confirmation page, which will be required during future counselling rounds.

 

DElEd 2026 Exam Pattern & Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates must secure 35% (general) and 30% (reserved categories) to qualify. The entrance exam will consist of 120 MCQs, each carrying 1 mark, across language, analytical reasoning, and core school subjects. Below is the subject-wise structure:
